19th April 2009

I would pass on a very special thank you to everybody who made the road run in aid of the Nith Inshore Life Boat the success that it was. On Sunday the 19th. We had 25 tractors out, travelled 30 miles or so over some stunning scenery and yet never more than 3 mile from Glencaple, our starting point. On return to the boat house we had a wonderful B.B.Q. with many friends joining us. I don't have an exact amount of money raised yet but it will be over 1000. A great effort by all. Thank You, Robert.

24 hour Charity working event - "A SPECIAL EVENT FOR A VERY WORTH WHILE CAUSE."

We had a fantastic weekend at our 24 hour charity ploughing at Glenhowan farm in aid of the Nith Inshore Lifeboat. Some stayed awake all night, some ploughed Saturday, others on Sunday and we managed to complete the whole 54 acres by 1 pm on Sunday. The BBQ on Saturday night was a great event staffed by members of the Nith Inshore and music was by David Cronie (good old Scottish). When all the sponsor money is collected we expect to have raised around 2500.
